Biography

At the young age of 28 I've found myself in love with photography and more recently creating digital art. Art and my cameras have brought me more in such a short time frame, more then I ever thought possible. I’ve self taught myself how to understand and shoot photography over approximately the last two years. How to edit and define my artwork And with every year that passes, I find myself motivated and challenged even more to improve myself and my work.

Over 2 1/2 years ago, my mother passed away from cancer rather unexpectedly on Christmas Eve. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through and it taught me a lesson I will never forget. My mom was the world to me and had raised me on her own all my life, without even the security of child support. What an amazing woman she truly was and how unselfishly she gave to me and left herself many times without.

"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

The above is a quote from my mother's favorite story, Lord of the Rings and one that was placed upon her gravestone as a message to all of us.

Time is short and sweet.....and something we waste and let slip by us altogether too easily. I will never know if I would have found my way into photography if she still was alive, before her death I never had the urge to take photos. There were always others who would do so at family gatherings and friends who would take them. It wasn't until she was gone that I really understood the meaning of life and the wonder of photography that helps us remember when our brains forget: Loved ones, places we've visited, days of friendship and laughter....the beauty of the world around us and how seldom we fail to notice it in the daily life of work, family and self involvement.

May you all live and decide what to do with the time that is given to us all. Thank you for stopping by to visit my gallery here on deviant and for checking out my prints! And as always, I dedicate all of my work to my mother Kris's memory. May you live on in all of us and I cannot wait to see you again upon white shores. I love you mom and thank you for helping me find my way still.

Till Next Time!
